Note: This is an initial draft of our Privacy Policy. We welcome questions or clarifications — please WhatsApp us if anything is unclear.

1. Who we are

Arise Preschool Ltd. (UEN: 202303679D) operates the website at arisepreschool.edu.sg ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting the personal data of our families, prospective families, employees, and website visitors in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (PDPA).

2. What personal data we collect

We may collect the following types of personal data when you interact with us:

  • Contact details: name, mobile number, email address, residential address.
  • Child information: child's name, date of birth, nationality, dietary requirements, medical/allergy information, photographs (with consent).
  • Family information: parents' names, occupations, NRIC/FIN (where required for ECDA subsidy applications), CDA account details (for fee payment).
  • Visit and enquiry data: messages sent via WhatsApp, email, or in person regarding visits and admissions.
  • Website usage data: basic analytics (pages visited, device type) — we do not use tracking cookies that identify you personally.

3. How we use your data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • Processing visit bookings, applications, and enrolment.
  • Communicating with parents about their child's progress, school activities, schedules, and emergencies.
  • Submitting subsidy applications to the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), where applicable.
  • Complying with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. ECDA licensing, health authority reporting).
  • Improving our services and website experience.
  • Sharing photographs and updates within the school community (only with prior parental consent).

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share it only as needed:

  • Government and regulatory bodies: ECDA, MSF, Health Promotion Board, Ministry of Education, where required by law or for subsidy administration.
  • Service providers: trusted vendors who help us operate (e.g. fee collection, photography, school management software). All are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Emergency contacts and medical providers: in case of a child's medical emergency.

We do not transfer personal data outside Singapore unless reasonable steps have been taken to ensure protection comparable to the PDPA.

5. How we keep data safe

We implement reasonable security measures including secured filing, restricted access, encrypted digital storage, and staff training. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law (for example, ECDA records may need to be retained for several years post-graduation). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.

7. Your rights under the PDPA

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccuracies.
  • Withdraw consent for the use or disclosure of your personal data (subject to legal or contractual restrictions).

9. Children's photographs

We will only publish photographs of children (on our website, social media, or marketing materials) with explicit prior consent from a parent or guardian. You may withdraw consent at any time, and we will remove the relevant photographs from new materials going forward.
